Job Description

Finloup is among the fastest-growing fintech startups in Greece that offers leasing of high-end electronics to all types of businesses.

Technology leasing is a financially inclusive and green solution as it expands the life cycle of electronics and allows customers to access the latest tech affordably. Businesses lease the latest tech products, use them as long as they want, and then return them to us. We give them a fresh touch and send them off to their next users. 📱

Our main pillars are sustainability and financial inclusion through the circular economy consumption model. Join our team and gain hands-on experience in operations while having the chance to impact our business and the environment positively. 💥

Finance Associate

We are seeking a detail-obsessed Finance Associate to join our team and keep our numbers in top shape. The successful candidate will rotate across every core finance workflow—bookkeeping, accounts receivable & payable, month-end close, reporting, and cash management—gaining 360° exposure to how a high-growth fintech scales its finances.

The primary focus of this position is to keep our books accurate, our cash under control, and our insights actionable, so the business can move faster and smarter. If you thrive on spreadsheets, love digging into data, and are always ready to go the extra mile, we encourage you to apply as soon as possible!

Key Responsibilities

  • Daily bookkeeping – post journal entries, upload invoices & payroll files, maintain the general ledger and reconcile bank statements.

  • Accounts receivable & credit control – resolve issues with customer invoices, follow up on collections and keep ageing schedules healthy.

  • Accounts payable – verify supplier invoices, code expenses correctly and prepare payment runs.

  • Month-end & year-end close – assist with accruals, prepayments, balance-sheet reconciliations and internal reporting packs.

  • Budgeting & forecasting – supply actuals and variance analysis to help the team stay on target.

  • Audit & compliance – gather support files, maintain organised documentation and liaise with external auditors and tax advisers.

  • Process improvement – spot inefficiencies, suggest automations and help us scale our finance stack.

Requirements

In particular, we are looking for:

  • 1-3 years of experience in accounting, audit or finance (startup or (e)commerce a plus).

  • Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance, Economics or similar. Part-qualified ACA/ACCA welcomed but not required.

  • Solid grounding in double-entry bookkeeping and basic IFRS/Greek GAAP concepts.

  • Comfortable with Excel/Google Sheets; experience with ERP or cloud accounting software (we use SoftOne) is a big plus.

  • Analytical mindset, keen attention to detail and strong organisational skills.

  • Professional working proficiency in Greek and English.

Benefits

During your work with us, you will earn:

  • 💶 Competitive gross salary: €18,000 – €22,000 per year
  • 🚀 With sufficient tenure, stock options (we own what we build!)
  • 👩‍⚕️ Private Health Insurance
  • 💻 Company laptop
  • 📱 Company mobile plan plus your desired smartphone for lease from our stock
  • 🥳 Paid time off on your birthday
  • 📚 Annual learning stipend to support your professional growth
  • 📈 Opportunity for more responsibilities as we scale
  • 🤝 Hybrid working model: 3 days in our office, 2 days remote
  • ♟Valuable experience in a high-growth startup alongside young, motivated, and passionate teammates

What you can expect from our process:

  • 30 min. call with the team you will closely collaborate with to understand about your team fit, role and skills
  • 60 min on-site meeting & case study at our offices—your chance to shine and meet the founders.
  • 🏁 – Offer 📧

We’d like to meet you if you’ve been excitedly nodding while reading all these. 😄

We are committed to equal employment opportunity regardless of race, colour, national origin, ethnicity, gender, age, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity or religion.
