Description We are looking for a detail-oriented and personable Medical Receptionist to join our team on a contract-to-permanent basis in Walnut Creek, California. This role is essential in creating a welcoming environment for patients while providing exceptional front desk support. The ideal candidate will excel in multitasking and enjoy engaging with patients in a face-to-face setting. Responsibilities: - Serve as the first point of contact for patients by warmly greeting them upon arrival and ensuring a positive experience. - Manage incoming phone calls efficiently, addressing inquiries and directing calls to the appropriate departments. - Handle patient check-ins and verify necessary information with accuracy and professionalism. - Collect payments from patients and provide clear explanations of billing procedures when needed. - Schedule appointments and maintain an organized calendar to optimize office operations. - Deliver outstanding customer service and uphold the company's commitment to exceptional service standards. - Utilize basic medical terminology to communicate effectively with patients and staff. - Ensure the front desk area remains organized and presentable at all times. - Assist with additional administrative tasks to support the medical office staff. - Operate a multi-line switchboard to manage phone communications effectively. Requirements - At least 1 year of experience in a medical front office or receptionist role. - Proficiency in scheduling patient appointments and managing calendars. - Strong understanding of basic medical terminology and administrative procedures. - Experience handling multi-line phone systems. - Ability to collect payments and explain billing processes clearly. - Exceptional customer service skills, with a focus on creating a welcoming atmosphere. - Excellent multitasking abilities and attention to detail. - Familiarity with medical office operations and procedures.
